Product Update: Better Not Younger’s Latest Hair, Lash, and Brow Innovations

Our community tested the original line of Better Not Younger products and was enthusiastic about the results. You can read our review here. We tried the latest Better Not Younger products to see if they perform as well with our testers as the shampoos and conditioners.

Tester 1 – 65 years old, very thin, fine, graying hair

Products Tested: Super Power Hair & Scalp Duo

“I enjoyed trying the Super Power Hair & Scalp Duo. I was unsure when was the best time to use it, so I used it overnight to promote hair growth and during the day. I noticed it provided volume to my hair and added to my styling. I have only used it for three weeks, so I have not seen much in new hair growth, but I plan to continue using the product. I really like the scalp massager that goes with it. It helps me with styling my hair.”  

Tester 2 – 55 years old, thick, dry, frizzy hair with breakage

“I liked all the products I tried and saw results with each. However, hands down, my favorite one is the Super Power Day & Night Brow Enhancing Duo. I have definitely seen my thinning eyebrows become thicker, and I don’t have to use as much eye pencil. That’s a huge win for me. The product comes with a clear serum for night and a tinted serum for day. I only used the clear serum at night. The tinted daytime serum was too dark for my hair and skin color. It’s fast and easy to apply, though. If they had more colors, I would consider trading it for my eye pencil. Using the eyelash serum, I also found that my lashes were thicker. Not necessarily longer, but definitely thicker. Both of these products are keepers.

I was surprised that I ended up liking the Super Power Hair & Scalp Duo. It comes with a small comb/massager-like device, and I don’t usually like to fuss with gadgets. However, the serum and comb tamed my flyaways. I found that I was using the comb in place of a brush in the morning. It is gentle on my hair and makes it look shinier, more hydrated, with less breakage and frizz.

My diet is super healthy, and I don’t take supplements other than a probiotic for gut health and D3 for bone health, so I was skeptical about taking the Significant Other. After just a couple of days, I did notice a spurt of growth in my hair and nails. A friend commented on how glowy my skin was looking. I am not sure if the glow was the supplement or something else in my skincare regimen. After finishing the 30-day supply, I took a break and went to the mountains, where my skin got dehydrated and dull from the altitude and heat. I am planning to buy another bottle and see if it help restore my skin.”

Tester 3 – 50 years old, thin, fine hair with breakage

“Using the Superpower Lash Serum, I have noticed growth in my eyelashes after three weeks of use. It’s easy to use and doesn’t irritate my eyes. Using this product has made me want to try the eyebrow serum.

I tried using the liquid dropper to apply the Super Power Hair & Scalp Serum. It was messy, and I could never get the right amount into the dropper. Once I started using the liquid comb, I loved it. Super easy and very relaxing to use. I found it used enough product that my comb would last up to two weeks without adding more product. I found after three weeks of use that my hair appears shinier, has fewer fly-always, and is thicker. It was helpful to watch the video to learn how to use the comb. One piece of feedback is to include a simple booklet with a diagram on how to get started.

I used the supplement for hair, nails, and skin for three weeks as well. I haven’t noticed a big increase in nail strength, but I have weak nails to begin with. However, I have noticed that my nails seem to be growing somewhat faster. The gummies are a bit sour, and I would prefer a pill, but it’s not preventing me from taking them.”

Digging into the reviews, a few people reported that they didn’t get the results they were hoping for or didn’t care for the fragrance. However, the positive reviews far outweighed the negative ones.
